Women are under-represented in STEM and manufacturing jobs because of the outdated misconceptions and stereotypes about what it’s like to work in the industry. Leaders in manufacturing are doing a good job of trying to get the word out about how good a career in manufacturing can be. Yet, it’s not enough. Let's do more to band our voices together to spread the word to young women about how wonderful a career in STEM/manufacturing can be.
